Well-structured, assertive, Baga brings attack and line, with fresh blackberry fruit. Castelão fleshes out the mid-palate with plummy fruit, softening the edges and making for delicious approachability. Positively autumnal in flavour spectrum, with savoury roast chestnut, pine forest floor and the insinuating, wispy smokiness so typical of Baga grown on chalky clay soils.
