This whiskey is named for the legendary distiller and whiskey wholesale dealer William Larue Weller. This wheated whiskey contains no rye and as a result is famous for its luxurious smoothness. The nose consists of subtle pastries, with buttery and spicy notes developing as the whiskey opens up. The palette is beautifully rich and full bodied, leading into a long lasting finish of vanilla extract, toasted oak, and caramel, and cinnamon.
